How different is the sky of Mars

My entry for ”From the Moon to Mars” Artstation challenge, which I didn’t manage to finish. Mars Orbital station in searching for extraterrestrial life inside near asteroid belt. For challenge requirements, I used the space shuttle as the main resupply ship. In the main color image, this is a new generation of Orion spacecraft performs missions between planet basecamps and station.

After establishing a permanent agricultural, mining and manufacturing colonies, we could carry out an extensive exploration program of the planet’s nearest and distant space, including vast areas of the asteroid belt. One of its major tasks would be searching for extraterrestrial life. This could be executed by deploying a habitable research station in the orbit of Mars.

Construction realized in 3 major steps:
1. Dispatch of station elements from Earth by beam-powered propulsion.
2. Print of station components directly on Mars and their transport to the orbit by reusable rockets.
3. Final assembly in the orbit.

Searching for extraterrestrial life would be a series of sample-return missions, carried out by gathering probes with deployable rovers. They would land on the asteroid, collect samples and reconnect with the probe again.

I uploaded some assets I used in the project.

- asteroid scatter

- poly projector

Enjoy 🙂
